"Dancing With The Stars" Wants Portia De Rossi

Dec 01st, 2010

This could be a first for the hit show Dancing with the Stars, According to Fox News, Ellen Degerenes's wife Portia de Rossi has been approached for a spot on the show's next season...and perform with a woman! She recently made news when she refused to be interviewed by men.

An earlier report revealed the actress was in Australia promoting her memoir, Unbearable Lightness: A Story of Loss and Gain, about her battle with anorexia and her sexuality, but according to the Herald Sun, the 37-year-old has turned away several male interviewers including Fox FM DJs Hamish Blake and Andy Lee, and Channel 7 Sunrise host David Koch - who had to be replaced by his co-host, Melissa Doyle.

Koch told the newspaper, "If a male said I don't want to be interviewed by a woman, there would be a massive outcry of discrimination.

"Obviously she has got issues and I feel quite sorry for her. I admire what she and Ellen have done for community tolerance and inclusiveness. But it is a real contradiction for what she stands for, which really surprises me.

"Maybe she is uncomfortable with men, but she plays opposite male leads."

Anywho, we think "DWTS" needs something to spice itself up. More power to it!
