Katy Perry Is Not Talking To Her Mom
Katy Perry's mom would have been set for life if she had just kept her mouth shut. But alas, she wants to make a few books and is writing a memoir about Katy's risque life - and that has not pleased the pop star. The singer's dad has admitted that there is "quite a big of tension" in the family due to Katy's mom going public with disapproval of her racy lyrics and sexy onstage costumes.
Recalling an incident backstage at one of the star's shows, Hudson writes, "Katy stepped out from behind the changing doors in a tiny risque costume. No mother wants to see the top of her daughter's boobs..."
Hudson goes on to discuss how she feels the singer has betrayed her Christian roots, adding, "I recognized the psalmist gift in her performance. Yet she sang out, 'I kissed a girl, and I liked it,' while thousands joined her. One part of my heart soared ... the other part broke for the thousands of hungry souls being fed something that didn't nourish their spirit, but fed their flesh."
Hudson has since defended her memoir, insisting it's not as sensational as the media has made it out to be, saying, "I'm writing a Christian faith book, not some kind of tell all book about my daughter."
But the honest accounts in the book have already damaged her relationship with Perry and her dad Keith is desperate to put an end to the family feud.
He tells Star magazine, "The situation has caused quite a bit of tension. I don't want that anymore."
Oh to be a fly on the wall of that room where this all went down!
