Nicolette Sheridan Sues Creator Of 'Desperate Housewives' Over Physical Violence
Looks like we know where they get the inspiration for cat fights on Desperate Housewives. The show's creator, Marc Cherry, likes to hit his stars...or so claims Nicolette Sheridan. The actress is suing Cherry for more than $20 million claiming the creator became violent on set many a times.
Cherry allegedly struck Sheridan across the head and face on set. When the actress complained, he fired her.
Sheridan says during the 5th season, Cherry put her in his crosshairs. She claims on September 24, 2008, he physically assaulted her after she questioned him about something in the script. According to the lawsuit, "Cherry took her aside and forcefully hit her with his hand across her face and head."
Sheridan says she immediately reported the incident to ABC, but Cherry's aggressiveness only worsened and ABC failed to take action . . . And, she says, she was killed off the show unfairly.
Yikes. I'm going to assume this is where Chris Brown was seeking lessons prior to the whole Rihanna incident? Okay, that was low. Even for me! Who knew that once you signed on to a hit TV show, you'd get the belt for creative differences.
