Alec Baldwin Almost Committed Suicide Over Angry Voicemail to Daughter
Back to the Future yourself to 2007. You may have recalled a very angry voicemail from Alec Baldwin to his 11-year-old daughter that left many people stunned. Offensive statements such as "rude little pig" were spewed from the actor's mouth and then put on the Internet for all to hear. Since then the actor's been mum, but now breaks his silence.
In a new interview he explains and discusses the terrible events that almost led to his suicide.
He candidly explains: "I spoke to a lot of professionals, who helped me...If I committed suicide, [ ex-wife Kim Basinger's side] would have considered that a victory. Destroying me was their avowed goal." (source)
His suicide was so serious that he complains he almost quit 30 Rock and let go of his agent. But where do you go when you're down and out and looking for a friend? You follow in the footsteps of Speidi and go on The View! Although their attempt only made them look like jacka$$es.
"Whoopi Goldberg is a friend. I called her and said, 'Do you think I can get a fair shake?' Because when you talk about family law and parental alienation, there is this unfortunate gender-based dynamic. Could I walk into a show with a strong female audience? Would they understand my point of view? I trusted Whoopi and Barbara Walters. Whoopi is an impeccably decent person, and I am grateful she gave me a forum." (source)
And we care...because?
