Kevin Smith Kicked Off Southwest Flight For Being Too Fat Causes Uproar

Feb 16th, 2010

Kevin Smith found himself in a very awkward situation over the weekend when he sat down on his Southwest flight. According to SW, Kevin was deemed "too fat" for his seat, and with that booted the actor/writer/director most famously known for his role of Silent Bob off the flight.

After having realized their mistake as both they and Smith acknowledged he in fact did purchase two seats for his original flights, but was on stand by for an earlier one with only one seat, SW issued an apology to Smith and offered him a $100 voucher. Yes, because $100 voucher is really going to do a lot for a guy with millions. Smith was still able to sit in his seat, pull both armrests down, and use the seat belt---SW regulations passed.

Nonetheless, Smith took to his Twitter, thus causing his fans to back up their beloved Silent Bob:

Articles say I was given $100 @SouthwestAir voucher. It was OFFERED: the way a john tosses a hooker a c-note after a hate-fucking. Said no.

Hey @SouthwestAir! I've landed in Burbank. Don't worry: wall of the plane was opened & I was airlifted out while Richard Simmons supervised.

The @SouthwestAir Diet. How it works: you're publicly shamed into a slimmer figure. Crying the weight right off has never been easier!

Looks like the only thing fat about this situation is Southwest's customer service.
